Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 101 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

Group Critic
i know i am a little late on this but i really enjoyed the group critic was very helpful to me. it was really shy and nervous about it because i did put in a bit of personal information in it and I'm not the type to express myself to other but when it comes to writing i enjoy to put it down on paper. so who ever was in my group i really appreciate it when you they told me that my writing was really good and that they loved it

i felt the same way, I felt a little weird reading my essay aloud to my group and knowing they're just judging it as i read it. This was a whole new experience for me I'm just used to getting critiqued by the teacher. I'm glad we did it thought i got some really good feedback and advice from my group.
